  • Newly single? Bad break-up? Been cheated on? …even worse – been ghosted? Emily Winters in The Ghosting of Rabbie Burns knows all about it. What she can’t get a grip of is the new online dating scene that emerged while she spent the past decade with the love of her life – who’s just ghosted her. She runs away from the gossip (along with her latest writing deadline) and visits her late aunt’s cottage in Ayrshire, Scotland. On a stormy winter’s night in January, she gets a visitation even scarier than the amount of times she’s been to the off-licence today – but the pain isn’t going away…until the ghost of Rabbie Burns appears to give her some dating advice! Rabbie Burns, Lothario supreme, giving her dating advice…this should be good. Featuring the great songs and poems of Burns, such as ‘My Love is Like a Red Red Rose’, ‘Ae Fond Kiss’, ‘Charlie is my Darlin’ and of course ‘Auld Lang Syne’, this ‘hilarious’ comedy by Gillian Duffy proves that love and relationships haven’t changed that much in 200 years after all. N.B. This is a one act play with no interval.

The Wedding Planners

by Gillian Duffy and Alyson Orr

Mairi has her dream job running the ‘I Do’ wedding agency, planning that special day for brides to be all over the country. But it’s not all plain sailing – she has to deal with Bridezillas, wild Hen Nights and making sure there’s always plenty of Prosecco on tap!

Fancy a Stiff One...

Co-produced by Gillian Duffy

Last spotted leaving BBC’s River City in a limo with Claire from Steps – Gary is back at the Fringe following smash-hit runs in 2016/17. Swapping the limo for a hearse, Gary’s taken up a sideline putting the fun in funerals – no, seriously! He is a bona fide funeral celebrant. You’re going to die laughing!
